TRUCKEE, Calif. — On Aug. 22, Slow Food Lake Tahoe hosted another successful Truckee Veggie Garden Tour. The tour, which started in the Community Garden in the Truckee River Regional Park, included stops at Shaw Family Farm and gardens in Glenshire, Sierra Meadows and Olympic Heights.
Slow Food Lake Tahoe is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to reconnect people to the enjoyment and production of good, clean and fair food, and to educate the community about their role as co-producers. SFLT is part of a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members around the world that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment.
