Squaw Valley’s Full Moon Party returns to High Camp this Saturday, just in time for one of this summer’s “supermoons,” when the celestial body appears larger than normal.
“The party takes place at High Camp under the brightest full moon of the summer, and features a line-up of six DJs playing from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m.,” according to a press release from Squaw Valley.
“Party goers will be able to watch the supermoon rise over Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, and dance under the night sky as the stars come out,” the release continues. “A laser light show will light up Squaw’s upper peaks as it plays across the dramatic backdrop of the Palisades and Emigrant peak.”
A silent roller disco will also take place at High Camp’s mountaintop roller rink. Quad skate rentals are included and party-goers are also welcome to bring their own skates, according organizers.
“DJs will be playing on the pool deck surrounded by Burning Man-style fire art, as well as on the roller rink with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and Silverado Canyon,” according to the release. “DJs playing at the Full Moon Party include DJ U9 Lift, DJ Shouts, DJ Chango, DJ Zebuel, DJ Coup Da Loop and DJ Ozgood.”
The Full Moon Party is restricted to ages 21 and over. Tickets are $35 and include Aerial Tram access. The last download from the party will be at 2 a.m. No camping or outside alcohol are permitted.
