Jane Westbrook, 82, passed away on March 5, 2013. She was born the daughter of Stephen and Irene Kelley in Nampa, Idaho and the family later moved to California. She was married to her high school sweetheart Glenn Carlson until his death. She married Don Westbrook in 1964 and together they raised their children in Truckee, California. In 2000, they moved to Vacaville, California. She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, volunteering at her church and the Opportunity House Thrift Store, and the color green. She always had a smile for everyone she met and lived life to the fullest.
Jane is survived by her sisters Muriel, Ruthe, Bobbi, and Kim; six children, Peggy Ziska and husband, Jim of Cody, Wyoming, Rupa Westbrook of Makawao, Hawaii, John Westbrook and wife, Jean of College Station, Texas, Mary Clough and husband, Fred of Lodi, Colleen Cox and husband, Bill of Vacaville, and Eric Carlson and wife, Tammy of Verdi, Nevada; daughters-in-law Marilyn Westbrook of Red Bluff and Sandie Davis of Truckee; the sparkle-of-her-eyes, grandchildren Shyla Westbrook, Tom Westbrook, Jake Ziska, Charlie Ziska, Matt Carlson, Will Ziska, Stacey Cox, Arinn Carlson-White, Lindsay Westbrook, Sarah Ziska, Kelley Cox, Gabe Carlson, Peter Carlson and Betsy Davis; great-grandchildren Abby Westbrook and Steve Westbrook; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, her dear friend Lela Watkins and numerous other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Beverley, Judy and Kathy; brothers Bill, Edward and Benny; husbands Glenn and Don; sons Steve Westbrook, Vern Carlson and Sven Carlson. Jane will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Fri., March 15 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Vacaville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that anyone wishing to offer a memorial donation could do so to a charity of their choice.
