Kings Beach celebrates the Fourth on July 3

With so many Fourth of July events going on around Lake Tahoe, it’s tough to fit them all in. Why not get the party started a day early?

Kings Beach will host their Fourth of July event on July 3. The town will host a beach party with live music, food, beer and vendors as well as a fireworks display over Lake Tahoe. The event is free to the public.

This year’s July 3 Fireworks and Beach Party will feature a watermelon-eating contest, a patriotic costume contest and a sand castle-building contest.

Fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. Attendees are recommended to bring their own beach blanket and lawn chair to view the fireworks.

The event is sponsored by the North Tahoe Business Association, the North Tahoe Public Utility District, Tahoe Biltmore, Safeway and Sierra Nevada Brewery among other sponsors.
