Elvin Bishop and Pablo Cruise hit the green

Blues legend Elvin Bishop along with Pablo Cruise will appear on the Incline Village Green to benefit Red, White and Tahoe Blue.

Both Bishop and the four-member Pablo Cruise have a long history in music. Bishop grew up under the tutelage of Chicago blues greats like Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf. Since 1969, he’s released numerous albums, including the Grammy-nominated ‘The Blues Roll On,” featuring B.B. King, Warren Haynes and Tommy Castro in 2008.

Pablo Cruise got its start in 1975, after releasing their self-titled album. For ten years, they toured nationally and internationally. In 1979, they broke Elvis Presley’s attendance record at the Sahara Tahoe. But in 1986, the band fell apart and took a nearly two decade hiatus. Pablo Cruise would reform at drummer Steve Price’s wedding in 2004 with three of its original members: Steve Price, Cory Lerios and Dave Jenkins. They’ve been riding the excitement ever since. But, to this day, no one is sure who Pablo Cruise actually is.

The July 6 show is presented by the Crystal Bay Casino.
