TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — After 12 years of award-winning service as contractors in the painting industry, Kelly Brothers Painting is expanding into renewable energy.
In line with his dedication to the community and the environment, Bill Kelly, owner of Kelly Brothers Painting, recently brought on renewable energy expert Mark Dickson to head up the new division.
Dickson owns Simple Power, now a division of Kelly Brothers Painting, and recently moved to the area from Montana. He is committed to making renewable energy accessible and affordable for residents and commercial businesses.
To kick off this collaboration Dickson will be offer a free public seminar, Demystifying Solar Energy, Aug. 27, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Truckee Airport. The seminar will cover:
What PV (photovoltaic) solar is and how it works in simple terms.
If PV solar is the right solution for you.
Steps you may want to take in your home or business to increase efficiency before installing a system.
Current tax incentives and rebates available to residents and business owners who install PV solar systems.
Dickson encourages you to take questions and comments to add to this personalized and lively seminar.
In his eight years in the renewable energy industry, Dickson has spearheaded some of the largest solar projects in Montana and is a highly respected solar professional. He is a NABCEP certified PV solar designer and installer and has been called upon as a renewable energy expert for trainings and consultations by the University of Montana, the U.S. Army, the USDA, small communities throughout the west and various renewable energy expos.
His real dedication lies in his customized approach to each of his client’s needs and circumstances.
“I am committed to bringing reasonable, effective and affordable solar solutions to the table for each of my clients, whether their needs are just a couple of solar panels for their home, or a large system to cover the roof of an industrial building. Also, I like to keep people educated on their options with renewable energy, and the availability of the incentives, rebates and funds that are out there for them,” said Dickson. “Right now, for example, the rebates from the Tahoe Donner PUD are really great, and it makes it very affordable for people to invest either residentially or commercially.”
Kelly Brothers Painting is excited to have Dickson’s expertise to open up this new division of their painting and contracting company. “Our business has always been committed to the environment, so when Mark approached me about teaming up it only made sense to offer this service to our customers,” said Kelly. “We are excited to have Mark on our team. His dedication to the environment and his knowledge of the solar industry is unprecedented.”
To celebrate the opening of the new division of Kelly Brothers Painting, Simple Power will offer free site local visits through the end of the year in addition to the free Demystifying Solar Energy seminar on Aug. 27.
