Breweries invade Squaw for Foam Fest

More than 40 breweries will be part of a sudsy fundraiser for Disabled Sports USA Far West at Squaw Valley this weekend.

The 24th annual Foam Fest takes place at the Village at Squaw Valley Saturday and includes music by Santana tribute band The Rhythm Vandals and the Serious Treble blues band. Purchase of a ticket provides unlimited beer samples. Non-samplers can attend the event free, although donations to Disabled Sports USA Far West are appreciated.

“Beer enthusiasts can sample from more than 40 craft beers and listen to live music,” according to an event listing on Disabled Sports USA Far West’s website.”Everyone is invited to enjoy a snack and enter to win great prizes in our famous “Hit the Slopes” raffle. Prizes include the CA Snow Gold Pass, season passes, lift tickets, skis, snowboards and winter gear.”

The mission of Disabled Sports USA is to provide affordable recreational activities that build health and confidence. The nonprofit includes more than 100 chapters and serves more than 60,000 people nationwide.
