Tahoe Forest Health System community blood drives
Tahoe Forest Health System will begin hosting community blood drives beginning in September. The first community blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12, 7-11 a.m. at the Tahoe Forest Hospital Eskridge Conference Room. Appointments are available at unitedbloodservices.org or by calling 530-582-6414. With each donation, donors receive a free total cholesterol test and earn points in United Blood Services’ Hero in Me rewards program. Donating blood takes about one hour.
Volunteer blood donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. Additional height/weight requirements apply to donors 22 years of age and younger, and donors who are 16 years of age must have signed permission from a parent or guardian.
