Oh joy the season of winter driving has arrived, and it is true — winter driving is a skill. Some have it and many do not. Please stay safe out on the roads.
Lots of fun is happening this weekend and everyone can participate. Friday evening is the kick-off event for the Incline Community Business Association Toy Drive. Stop at the annual Christmas Tree Village Mixer from 5-7 p.m. with a new unwrapped toy, and place it in one of the collection barrels. And the other big event happening on Friday starting at 7 p.m. is the Hacienda’s annual Pray for Snow Party. We need snow and this is your chance to encourage the “Snow Gods” to bless Tahoe this winter. Go participate in the merriment and bring on the snow.
Support the annual Dog Day in the Park and WARF on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3220 North Lake Blvd. (Dollar Hill). Just stop by for free hot cocoa and cookies, a raffle and photos of pets with Santa. For more information about this event call Pam at 530-546-4770.
The IV/CB Republican Women’s Club is hosting its annual Christmas Party at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Third Creek Clubhouse. They have a great event planned with music by Judie Brimm and Betsy Garfinkle , a demonstration of New Skin products and information on the Common Core program will be provided by John Eppolito . Also, donations of coffee, hot chocolate, canned soups, small snacks and chips will be accepted for the Veteran’s Guest House during the party. School is back in session now and the Incline Elementary School needs help with the new reading club from 2:15-3:30 p.m. every Wednesday. This is a fun group to help out with reading, writing and lots of other crafts and social activities.
