Sugar Bowl Resort will open for its 74th season with top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Saturday, Dec. 7. Lift will begin spinning at 9 a.m.
Thanks to a recent storm that dropped 10 inches of new snow — in addition to colder snowmaking temperatures and more snow to come — the iconic resort atop Donner Summit will feature 11 trails and 1,500 vertical feet of riding off the Nob Hill, Christmas Tree and Mount Lincoln Express chairlifts.
Access to the resort will be via the Village side, with parking on the highway side and a free gondola across to the Village base area.
Lift tickets will be $72 for adults, $60 for young adults, $62 for seniors, $22 for super seniors and $20 for children.
CORE Daily Passholders, which costs $21 to join, will save an additional $10-$15 on their lift tickets, depending on age bracket.
The Mountain Sports Learning Center will be offering the new group Learn to Ski & Ride Development Program only, with morning and afternoon sessions available.
Sugar Bowl will close midweek and reopen again on Saturday, Dec. 14.
