Fan Halen erupts at North Shore

Bust out the jean jackets because the 1980s will be back in action this week when a David Lee Roth-era Van Halen tribute band takes the stage at Crystal Bay Casino. Southern California’s Fan Halen have played together for a decade and will play a free show in the casino’s Crown Room Friday.

The band prides itself on recreating the sound of the rock legends, as well as the look of Van Halen and the spirit of their most successful era.

“Ernie Berru as David Lee Roth is so uncanny and convincing it’s got to be witnessed to be believed,” according to the band’s Facebook page. “From Diamond Dave’s unmistakable costumes to his signature scream and unique vocal delivery, Ernie delivers the swagger and bravado second only to Roth himself!”

Friday’s show will be the band’s first at Lake Tahoe.

“You won’t believe your eyes or ears when you come to a Fan Halen show as you’ll feel like its 1984 all over again,” the Facebook profile continues. “From the look of the band, the choreography, the note-for-note reproduction of the greatest rock songs ever written to the sonic energy of the performance, nothing is other words, while Fan Halen is on stage they are Van Halen!”
