Halloween Family Fun
Bring your family together at our Halloween themed Family Fun Night Oct. 30 at the Sierra Mountain Education Center, 11603 Donner Pass Road, Truckee. There will be a costume contest for all ages with prizes, Halloween carnival games, and a free dinner! This is a free event, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Call 587-2513 for information.
Girls on the Run Halloween Fun Run
Participate in a non-competitive family-friendly run/walk where everyone is a winner. Runners, walkers, children and strollers welcome. No dogs please! Event festivities include music, food, great raffle and games. Halloween costumes are encouraged. Registration and pre-race festivities begin at 9 a.m.; run starts at 10 a.m. Pre-registration online is $20 per person through Oct. 30. Visit www.girlsontherunsierras.org. On race day, $25 per person. Race to be held at Truckee River View Sports Park, 12200 Joerger Drive, off Soaring Way.
