Volunteer training workshop planned

Print Comment
As part of the Tahoe Truckee region 2005 nonprofit training workshop series, Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation is sponsoring a workshop on how to recruit, train, and recognize volunteers.

The workshop will cover how to find volunteers and assure they meet your needs. Sample job descriptions, tracking sheets, and recognition pieces will be provided. Ways to handle difficult volunteers, among other topics, will be discussed by Tamara Lieberman, the presenter. Lieberman has more than 20 years of experience working with volunteers in various capacities.

To sign up for the workshop or for more information call 587-1776. The workshop will be held April 8 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the North Tahoe Conference Center in Kings Beach. Cost is $35.

This workshop is the third in the 2005 nonprofit training workshop series jointly sponsored by the Parasol Community Foundation and Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation. A brochure listing the full workshop series is available at both Community Foundations.
