Print Comment
Three workshops will be held in October to discuss possible additions to the OHV designated route system in the Tahoe National Forest.

“The purpose of these workshops is to develop a proposed OHV route system,” said Steve Eubanks, forest supervisor.

The meetings are in:

• Nevada City – 6:30 p.m., Oct. 19, Madelyn Helling Library to discuss trails in the Yuba River Ranger District.

• Truckee – 6:30 p.m., Oct. 23, Tahoe Donner PUD Office on Donner Pass Road, to discuss trails in the Sierraville and Truckee Ranger Districts.

• Foresthill – 6:30 p.m., Oct. 26, Foresthill Middle School Science Lab, Foresthill Road, to discuss trails in the American River Ranger District.

In November and December, additional workshops will be held for the public to showcase the proposals they have developed. The Forest Service will take the proposals, finalize the recommendations and send a forest-wide proposal to the public for comment later in the winter or spring of 2007.
