Truckee’s July 4th parade, Wednesday, showcased 70 entrants ranging from The Used Subaru Brigade to Play Date Preschool and School Age.
This year’s parade was themed “High Sierra Treasure” and featured many floats showcasing pirates and treasures.
The winners of the best floats and costumes represent a wide variety of businesses and organizations.
Truckee “celebrity” Pattie Brooke, winner of the Good Morning America “Dancing Moms” competition, was recognized for her efforts and contributions to Truckee and was given the Key to the Town by Mayor Richard Anderson at the parade. Here are Wendnesday’s winners:
• Best of Show — Hooping Hooligans
• Commercial Open — First Place- Truckee Travel
Second Place- Mountain Hardware
Third Place- Resort at Squaw Creek
• Open — First Place- Truckee River Drill Team
Second Place- Master Flagger
Third Place- The Flatlanders
• Youth Group — First Place- Play Date Preschool and School Age
Second Place- Truckee Drill Team
Third Place- Sierra Mountain Middle School
• Non-Profit — First Place- Truckee Donner Horsemen
Second Place- KidZone
Third Place- Truckee Girl Scouts
• Classic Auto — First Place- The Used Subaru Brigade

• Civic Group — First Place- Civil Air Patrol
