Eight players from the Truckee High volleyball team were voted by coaches to the Northern 3A All-League squad. Six of those players also earned Nevada 3A All-State recognition.
In addition to the Wolverine players, second-year Truckee head coach Nicole Annaloro was voted both All-League and All-State Coach of the Year after leading the Wolverines to an undefeated regular season and state runner-up finish.
Truckee (17-1 against the 3A, 35-4 overall) lost to Yerington in four games in the state championship. Yeringtons Kayla Lommori, who was instrumental in the Lions championship win, was named MVP.
Wolverines voted to the All-League first team include senior Melanie Lashbrook at middle blocker, junior Callan Finney at outside hitter, junior Nikki Schneider at outside hitter, senior Megan Murphy at defensive specialist, and sophomore Kaylee Waters at liberio.
Truckee senior Alexa Terrell made the second team as a middle blocker, and junior Mary Ann Nason and senior Julie McNamara earned honorable mention recognition.
Statistically, Finney led the Wolverines in kills during the regular season with 166 to go along with her 41 service aces, 128 digs and 12 blocks. Schneider tallied 126 kills and 16 blocks, Lashbrook 100 kills and 28 blocks, and Terrell 97 kills, 37 aces and 44 blocks. Murphy posted 37 aces and 449 assists, Waters had 26 aces, 287 digs and 17 blocks, and Nason 156 digs.
