PrintEmail The Chinese Acrobats from Beijing, China made their third annual appearance at the Tahoe Lake Elementary School Friday. The awe-inspiring team of Zhang Fenggang, Feng Hongjuan, and Wang Xue stunned the student assembly by performing unbelievable feats of balance, contortion, and agility.
Xue started the show with inconcievable postures, many while holding lit candles. Next, Fenggang got the student body roaring by juggling endless objects and enlisting volunteers to help spin balls. The ooohs and aaahs kept coming for Hongjuan, who easily hula-hooped more rings than anyone had ever seen. To finish the show, Fenggang and Xue caught bowls on their heads by flinging the objects to themselves. Xue was on a 6-foot-tall unicycle while Fengang balanced on a rocking board.
After the last stunt the students had not had enough. Chanting “Encore, Encore,” the students convinced Fenggang to do one more trick — let students throw him basketballs which he caught on a stick clenched in his teeth!
