The annual Billy Dutton Uphill will be held at Squaw Valley USA on March 30, with registration from 7-8 a.m. Cost is $20.

The race, which benefits Cross Country Junior Olympics, is a celebration of the life of Billy Dutton, a search and rescue skier who lost his life to brain cancer more than 20 years ago.

The course climbs 3.2 miles from the funnitel to High Camp, and can be done on cross-country skis, snowshoes or running shoes. A party will be held at High Camp with raffle prizes, music and food.

For more information on this year’s event, call Betty at 583-5170 or race services at 583-6985.
