Forest Service opens Foresthill OHV trails

he popular designated OHV system trails and roads in the Sugar Pine area of Foresthill in Placer County will open Tuesday due to recent drying and warming weather Tahoe National Forest officials said.

While the trails are being reopened, people recreating on them should be aware that forest thinning and fuel reduction operations could be scheduled within the system area again this year.

Thinning activities reduce vegetation and some trails could again have temporary closures for public safety.
