NEVADA CITY — Only 20 strikes within the Tahoe National Forest, mostly in the Trosi Cyn/Sardine Peak/Crystal Peak area, east of Highway 89/Sierraville from Tuesday night's lightning.

No fires have been identified from the approximately 40 lighting strikes on Sunday. The TNF will have patrols out today looking for smokes, according to Ann Westling, public affairs officer for the forest.
