Truckee Little League 9/10 All-stars and the 10/11 All-stars clinched spots in the quarter finals of the Nevada District 1 Little League All-Star Tournament earlier this week.
This on the tails of the North Tahoe 9/10 Renegades also making it to the quarter finals of their tournament, according to Karen Sewell, Truckee Little League All-Star coordinator.
"We all know that playing baseball is hard enough in Truckee, but having to play next-level tournament ball against some really strong opponents on foreign and unfriendly turf is nerve wracking," Sewell said. "Our Truckee Little League players would really thrive from some home-town support and cheers. Having the bleachers filled with some friendly faces would mean the world to them."
Both Truckee teams are Thursday at South Valleys sports complex, 15650 Wedge Pkwy in Reno.
The 9/10 game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the 10/11 game starts at 8 p.m.
