Elizabeth Rees Zenzic passed away at her home in Truckee on July 17, 2008. Elizabeth was born in Ft. Mammouth, New Jersey to Nancy and Richard Rees. She attended Wooster High School, and University Nevada Reno.
Elizabeth married Jonathan Zenzic in 1978, then moved to Truckee where they resided together for 30 years. Her hobbies included crafts, books, shopping, gardening, cooking and music. Elizabeth was a member of the Truckee Elementary PTA for many years, and worked for Truckee Books.
She is survived by her husband Jonathan Zenzic, her daughter Katherine and son Michael Zenzic, her mother Nancy Rees, nephews Robert, Christopher and Jeffrey Rees, along with many other extended family members.
A Mass was held at the Holy Spirit Catholic Mission Church in Reno on July 22. Inurnment will take place at The Sierra Mountains Cemetery in Truckee. Donations may be made in Elizabeth’s name to the Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, 10956 Donner Pass Road Suite 330, Truckee 96161. Arrangements in Care of Truckee-Tahoe Mortuary & Crematory.
