Slabaugh hired as executive editor of Truckee, North Tahoe papers

Ryan Slabaugh has been hired as the executive editor of the Sierra Sun, North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, Tahoe World and Tahoe.com effective this week.

Slabaugh, who spent the previous seven years working at the Summit Daily News in Frisco, Colo., including the last three as managing editor, brings more than a decade of newspaper experience to the position.

“I am excited to begin meeting the community,” Slabaugh said. “I want to understand what they expect and want out of a community paper, and to help grow the publications to meet those needs.”
