Pasta On The Lake: Returns for the fifth year at the Kings Beach Convention Center to benefit Sierra Senior Services on Oct. 25. Come and bring the family to enjoy a spaghetti dinner, bingo and silent auction. Cost is only $15 for dinner and $10 for bingo, for more information call

Savvy Seniors: Area 4 Agency on Aging (A4AA) is working with the Adult and Family Services Commission and interested community members to survey people 60 and older. It is easy to read and has questions about health, activities and concerns such as transportation, health services and in-home help. Deadline for surveys is Oct. 27, 2008. pick one up at the Truckee Library, Sierra Senior Services or visit www.a4aa.com. Call Helpline at 273-2273 or Sierra Senior Services at 550-7600.

Monthly Roundtable:

On the first Tuesday of every month. Discussion on the latest trips, programs, and special events during lunch at the Truckee Donner Senior Apartment's dining commons, $3 to $7 donation. Pancake Breakfast to Benefit Seniors: 8 to 11:30 a.m., Truckee Donner Senior Apartments (TDSA), 10040 Estates Dr. The next monthly pancake breakfast fund raiser to benefit the Senior Meals program and

the Meals on Wheels is in November. Adults $7,

children $3. Come early.

Free Blood Pressure Check: Last Wednesday of each month from 11 a.m. to

1 p.m. at Truckee Donner Senior Dining Room. Stay for lunch! Make a reservation at 550-7600. Lunch $3 to $7.

Legal Services: Through a grant from the Area 4 Agency on Aging, Legal Services on Northern California is providing free legal assistance to Placer, Nevada and Sierra County residents age 60 or older. Services provided include legal information, advice, assistance with legal forms and documents, and certain limited types of legal representation. Call (800) 660-6107 or (530) 823-7560 and speak to a client advocate.

Lunch: New menus and

Pet Therapy: Eddie a sweet little dog, every Monday, Lisa Furr is the human companion.

Weekly Bridge: Thursday games at the Truckee Community Center. Call 587-6980 for more information, but call ahead because it takes a few days to find a partner. $3 drop-in, bring your own lunch.

Ki Gong: A gently, non-impact series of movements, breathing and meditation developed over many centuries to enhance well-being, strengthen the immune system, improve balance, expand breath and energize. Tuesdays from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Community Center. Evening class Thursdays from 7 to
