A group of local residents got an up-close view of the latest and greatest in green building Saturday during the Sierra Green Building Associations tour.
The all-day tour displayed passive solar design, green painting ideas, solar electricity and hot water tips during its circuit of three homes and two commercial buildings.
The attendees took away green ideas for remodeling and new construction.
The Sierra Green Building Association promotes a Live Green –Build Green philosophy. As the Sierras leading green building resource and community education organization, the associations mission is to promote effective environmental design and sustainable practices in our community.
