Were excited to invite the community to our first benefit gala, said Stephanie Hiemstra, executive director of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. The guests will enjoy fine food, fun auctions, live entertainment and dancing with or without their dog while raising funds for a common passion.
This black-tie-optional event will feature a Hollywood-style red carpet entry lined with PAWparazzi, champagne reception, elegant sit-down dinner, live music, silent auction, canine-themed entertainment and an opportunity to purchase professional photo portraits and participate in a Best Dressed Pet Contest.
We hope the event will turn into an annual affair, Hiemstra said. Anyone who dresses to the nines with his or her dog has to have a good time.
