Guests will enjoy a guided hike, live acoustic music, bonfire, s’mores and hot chocolate. Cross-County Center is located at Mid-Mountain. Please give yourself plenty of time to ride the Gondola, and check in. Participants must be on Gondola by 4:45 p.m. There will be time available to be fitted for snowshoes if needed. Cost is $35 for adults, $25 children 12-and-under and $5 for snowshoe rental. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

National Winter Trails Day
The Tahoe Rim Trail Association will be hosting a FREE event at Tahoe Meadows on the east side of Mount Rose Highway. The event will feature winter safety clinics led by avalanche safety experts, free guided snowshoe hikes for all ages and abilities, and free Starbucks hot chocolate and snacks. The event is a family-friendly introduction to snowshoeing and to winter opportunities on the Tahoe Rim Trail. In addition, there will be a free, guided Full Moon Snowshoe Hike from 7-9 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the Tahoe Rim Trail at night, and to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature in the evening. All are welcome, but space is limited so please sign up in advance. Participants will have to provide their own snowshoes, warm clothing and food for lunch or snacks. Master African Dance Artist, Alain Zinzou of Senegal, Africa, will teach a dynamic, high energy African Dance Class accompanied by several Master percussion and rhythm musicians. The Master African Dance Class will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. followed by a Master Drumming Class from 3:45-5 p.m. Tuition for the Master Classes is $30 per class or $50 for both classes and pre-registration is required.
