TRUCKEE, Calif. — After the first few week's on June produced uncharacteristic weather patterns — including rain and thunderstorms — it appears July will start off very much like the norm.
According to the National Weather Service in Reno, sunny skies, few clouds and 80-degree temperatures dominate the next week's forecast, making for an ideal Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Monday's high is forecast at 87 degrees in Truckee, with mid-80s and sunny skies forecast through Independence Day.
Things aren't much different for Lake Tahoe's North Shore, as NWS reports sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s and upper 70s all week.
