A case of Swine Flu (H1N1) has been identified at the Tahoe Donner Association Beach Club Marina potentially exposing members, guests and staff to the virus.
Please be aware if you visited the Beach Club Marina between Friday, July 17 and Monday, July 20 you may have been exposed to the virus.
All recommended hygiene and cleaning precautions have been set in place at the Beach Club Marina and subsequently all other Tahoe Donner Association facilities to prevent any further spread of the virus.
The Center for Disease Control states, “people may be contagious from one day before they develop symptoms to up to 7 days after they get sick” and the virus has an incubation period of up to a week.
Tahoe Donner Association will continue to maintain a high level of precaution and recommends members and guests do the same.
Symptoms of Swine Flu (H1N1) include a fever of more than 100 degrees, coughing and sneezing, joint pain, severe headache, and in some cases nausea and vomiting.
