TAHOE CITY — As part of it's Chamber Education workshop series, the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Strategic Renewal for Human Resource Professionals workshop Thursday, Sept. 17, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Resort at Squaw Creek, 400 Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley.
The workshop is aimed at human resource professionals who face a different landscape with the current challenging economy. Attendees will learn communication tactics for difficult times that may include layoffs, how to develop personal confidence and accountability, and how best to be a strategic partner to both the CEO and community.
Workshop speakers include Principal and Co-Founder Laura Moriarty of Tahoe Training Partners, who is also the president of the Sierra Human Resources Association, and General Manager John Rice of Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski Resort, who manages a support team of more than 750 employees during operating season.
Professionals may attend the entire day, or just a morning or afternoon session. Register by Friday, Sept. 11 $149 for both sessions and $79 for the morning or afternoon session. After Sept. 11 $179 for full day and $109 for morning or afternoon. Discounts are also available to Sierra Human Resources Association members.
