Bud Haley, owner of JAX at the Tracks, hosted a community luncheon Wednesday, Sept. 9 as a special thank you and appreciation to all those in the community who rushed to the scene during the residential explosion at the Henness Flats apartment complex Tuesday Aug. 18. The luncheon was joined by Chris Peters and Michael Cardinal of Southwest Gas as well as Officer Bryan Berry of Truckee Police Department, who was among the first responders to the scene. Those who could not attend but played an important role in the community include the Northstar Fire Department, Truckee Fire Department, Nevada County Sheriffs and Truckee Donner Public Utility District.
