TAHOE CITY — Tyler Lapkin, a California board licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and Tahoe native would like to announce the opening of his clinic in Tahoe City at 925 N. Lake Blvd., Suite 207-B. Lapkin is a graduate of Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, Calif. where he earned his Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Tyler is trained in both Eastern and Western diagnostics and methodology for understanding and treating disease. With a strong interest in integrative medicine, his study of TCM has strengthened his knowledge, passion, and belief that Eastern and Western approaches can co-exist and ultimately complement one another to achieve positive outcomes.
Developed more than 4,000 years ago, acupuncture is a branch of TCM that refers to the insertion of very thin, sterile, stainless steel needles into specific points on the body for the purpose of re-establishing metabolic balance. With balance re-established, the body is able to use its own innate ability to heal itself without the aid of drugs or the risk of side effects. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine are time tested methods of healing that can treat a wide variety of conditions including, but not limited to: sports injuries, stress/anxiety/depression, insomnia, fatigue, back pain, arthritis, headaches, gynecological conditions, allergies, asthma, digestive disorders and the common cold or flu.
