LAKE TAHOE — After a sunny start to the week, more snow is expected this week for the Truckee/Tahoe region as a small storm system approaches the West Coast, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Snow in the Sierra should fall Wednesday and Thursday, NWS reports, although the system won't be as cold as the one that hammered the region with 2-3 feet of snow last week.
As of Monday, potential snowfall totals from this week's storm at lake level and above 7,000 feet are still to be determined, NWS reports; lower elevation areas in the Washoe and Carson valleys should see scattered rain showers Wednesday.
