Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
This summer the Festival returns to traditional Shakespeare with one of the Bard's greatest comedies, Twelfth Night, directed by Producing Artistic Director Charles Fee, July 15-Aug. 21, 5 p.m., Sand Harbor State Park. “We promised our faithful audience a return to ‘real' Shakespeare last year and we're delivering on that promise,” said Fee.After a shipwreck on an unknown shore, and the loss of her twin brother Sebastian, young Viola must pose as a man to survive in Shakespeare's luminous comedy of mistaken identity and passionate romance. Sierra Bible Church second annual parking lot sale
The Women's Ministry of Sierra Bible Church is holding their Second Annual Parking Lot Sale. Last year, the entire parking lot and some buildings overflowed with furniture, clothing, home décor, dishware, kitchen items, children's toys, books and clothing and amazing baked goods.This year's Parking Lot Sale promises to be just a fantastic. All proceeds will benefit the Women's Ministry of Sierra Bible Church.

Be in the Truckee Parade
With an extended winter, the oh-so-close Fourth of July might have taken folks by surprise. In less than two weeks, crowds will line the streets in anticipation of Truckee's popular 4th of July Parade. The Parade Committee is putting the final touches on details and encourages anyone planning to enter to get your entry in quickly. To accommodate the deadline has been extended Tuesday, June 28 at noon. Also, remember to enter the King of the Mousehole bike sprint! Family Fun Day at the Lake
Embrace family and the great Tahoe community as the North Tahoe Family Resource Center (NTFRC) celebrates 10 years of service to the community. The NTFRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making individuals and families aware of the economic, political, social and environmental opportunities available to them. They aim to increase community engagement and pride by facilitating ongoing workshops and series such as financial literacy, legal referrals and various family support programs.
The NTFRC 10th anniversary celebration is guaranteed to be a memorable event with family friendly games and activities, raffles, prizes, music, live entertainment and tasty food. Entrance is absolutely free.
