Truckee senior volleyball standout Annie Reiswig, who's already signed her letter of intent to play at Miami University of Ohio in the fall, was voted Nevada 3A State MVP.
Meanwhile in 3A All-State football voting, Truckee head coach Bob Shaffer was voted Coach of the Year.
The All-State football and volleyball selections are voted on by the 3A coaches.
Truckee was well represented in both sports, despite the fact that Shaffer was the only one from the Truckee football team to receive one of the highest honors.
In volleyball, the three-time state champion Wolverines landed three players on the All-State first team, with Kiersten Knoppel earning the honor as a middle blocker, Krysta Murphy at outside hitter and Katie Mohun at libero. Setter Brittany Thomas received honorable mention recognition.
“I feel good about how many top players from different 3A teams across the state were represented,” said Truckee head coach Erika Murphy.
While Shaffer was voted coach of the year in football, Lowry's Jace Billingsley was voted state MVP, Fernley's Kenney Bradley was Offensive Player of the Year, Lowry's Bryan Noble was Defensive Player of the Year, and Moapa Valley's Taylor Schwartz was Lineman of the Year.
For the Wolverines, who, like the volleyball team has won three consecutive state titles, Pat Shaffer was voted to the first team at quarterback, Braden Waters was voted to the first team at tight end and Sam Schroeder as a guard.
On defense, Truckee's Jake Pettit made the first team at defensive end, Stein Retzlaff at defensive tackle, Cole Roberts at linebacker and Trevor Auldridge at cornerback.
Jake Pettit was voted to the second team at running back and Auldridge as a receiver.
Retzlaff made honorable mention on the offensive line, as did Kai Goodpaster at safety and Graham Christian at linebacker.
