Infant toddler classes to address sleep, massage, development in Truckee

Baby massage is a series of four classes for parents of infants, newborn to crawling, taught by certified massage instructor and nursing professional Linda MacKenzie Parks. The class provides a myriad of positive impacts for babies and parents including bonding and attachment, relaxation, and verbal and non-verbal communication. It improves infants’ circulation, digestion and neurological organization and increases parents’ confidence and skills in parenting.
The sessions begin Friday, Feb. 7, and will run 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the Family Resource Center of Truckee, 11695 Donner Pass Road, next to the KidZone Museum in Truckee. Tuition is $48 for four classes with scholarships available.
BABY AND ME
A popular six-class series for parents and infants 3 months to walking will be taught by lactation consultant and nursing professional Cindy Bansen. The classes are fun and educational with organized activities, music, puppets, speakers and informal discussions weekly. Baby and Me will begin Friday, Feb. 28, running 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the FRCoT. Tuition is $72 for the series with scholarships available.
