More than 150 celebrate 20 years for Incline Village hospital
October 19, 2016
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — On Oct. 13, more than 150 people enjoyed an evening of food, fellowship and exploration at the Incline Village Community Hospital 20th anniversary celebration and Chamber of Commerce open house/mixer.
The facility has been a proud part of Tahoe Forest Health System since 1996, and with the more than $2.5 million investment in the hospital's exterior and interior spaces over the past 18 months, it was time to open the doors to the community and let them experience the patient enhancements and upgrades.
Appetizers were provided by the amazing Tahoe Forest dietary team, and beverages were primarily provided by the wonderful beverage team at Raley's in Incline Village.
Tahoe Forest Health System CEO Harry Weis kicked off the event with an explanation of the hospital services. Many people took a hospital tour and were entered into a competitive raffle for the chance to win Fitbits and other health-related prizes.
The hospital has upgraded and redesigned the exterior, which is newly fire resistant, and the upstairs now features a remodeled MultiSpecialty health center. The improvements are aimed at enhanced patient services, building improvements and fire safety.
These and other hospital upgrades and renovations were supported by revenue from the hospital operations and also our generous community members and the philanthropic efforts of the Incline Village Community Hospital Foundation and the North Lake Tahoe Community Health Care Auxiliary.
The Foundation continues to fundraise to complete the remodel of Emergency Room five, a specialty space for emergency eye and women's exigent healthcare needs.
For additional information on how to donate, recognize a hospital staff person for a job well done, or set up a hospital tour for your group or organization, please contact Betsy Kinsley, Incline Village Community Hospital Foundation Director, at 775-888-4204. The generosity of our entire community is truly appreciated.
