Renowned pop rocker Jack Johnson is headed to South Lake Tahoe. On Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29, the singer-songwriter continues the 2017 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at Harveys Outdoor Arena.

These performances come as part of his North American summer tour, which marks the first time in three years that Johnson has taken his hits on the road.

While his career began approximately two decades ago, he shows no signs of stopping any time soon — Johnson released the song “Fragments” in February.

“The highly anticipated new material accompanies the film ‘The Smog of The Sea,’ a documentary that provides a new perspective on the once pristine oceans of the world, while making an artful call to action for rethinking single-use plastic,” according to a statement from Johnson’s management.

Would we expect his art to be connected to anything else?

His newest album, “All the Light Above It Too,” is expected to drop in September, and features sounds reminiscent of his early years in the business.

“For the first time in years Johnson handled most of the instrumentation himself, echoing the four-track recordings that launched his career over 17 years ago,” states the musician’s website.

Don’t miss your chance to see the artist as he concludes his summer tour on Tahoe’s South Shore — tickets (available for purchase online through Ticketmaster) begin at $64.22, plus tax and fees, for both performances.

Harveys Outdoor Arena is located at U.S. 50 and Stateline Avenue.
