CARSON CITY, Nev. — Nearly 100 Carson City residents reported feeling a 3.16 earthquake Monday afternoon centered in northern Eagle Valley.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at 5:16 p.m. about three miles north-northeast of Carson City. The quake was 4.3 miles underneath the surface.
Ten Incline Village residents reported feeling the earthquake.
A .1 magnitude earthquake occurred shortly after the large one.
