Incline Village community notes: Dec. 23, 2015

Jean Eick
Village Notes

Welcome to the guests here for the holiday and safe travels to all. If you are looking for a walk in the winter wonderland, this is the place. Please remember to work on your winter driving skills — or the force won’t be with you. Thank you to all on duty for the holidays. Merry Christmas.

Most of the local nonprofits will be closed for the holiday, but donations can still be made by visiting websites. Visit http://www.parasol.org for the complete nonprofit Wish List published in the Thanksgiving edition of the Bonanza. Also you can purchase tickets for the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival now by visiting their website laketahoeshakespeare.com or call 1-800-747-4697.

Plan your New Year’s Eve night out now. Lots of our local businesses will be offering special events but you need reservations early. Also, please, please celebrate and drink responsibly.

Happy Anniversary to Warren Kocmond and Janet Pahl. Congratulations!

We do have birthdays this week: Franny Bryan on Dec. 25, Katie Christensen on Dec. 26, Don Epstein on Dec. 27, and Tanya Canino and Jim Dykstra on Dec. 29. Happy Birthday!

The Deal or Steal for this week is to go to Diamond Peak and enjoy the amazing snow. Santa and Penguin Pete will be there on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25.

As always send in your birthdays, anniversaries and news, along with the best deals or steals you can find, before 5 p.m. on Tuesday to jeanmeick@aol.com.
