Braving the low temperatures, more than 100 community members gathered Monday evening to celebrate and appreciate the opening of Community House, a Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation project.

Community House is a bright new spot in Kings Beach that provides services, in an integrated way, to families and individuals in need.

Tahoe SAFE Alliance, Project MANA and the North Tahoe Family Resource Center, as well as other local services, are proud to share offices at the new Community House, located on the corner of Bear and Trout streets in Kings Beach.

“This truly was a community effort,” states Stacy Caldwell, CEO of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation. “The gathering on Monday brought together volunteers, donors, public agencies, community members and neighbors. It was a time to celebrate how our region creates unique solutions to our unique challenges.”
