Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence and Green Dots
When an act of violence (sexual assault, partner violence, or stalking) happens, there is almost always a bystander who is in a position to notice a high-risk behavior and potentially do something to help. The Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence, the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health, the University of Nevada, Reno, and organizations throughout northern and rural Nevada are dedicated to changing this behavior by launching a violence prevention program called Green Dot. Professionals will convene, Sept. 24-27 at UNR to become certified Green Dot instructors to launch the Green Dot community mobilization strategy. Tahoe SAFE Alliance will participate in the training.
