Upcoming events scheduled at Incline Village Library
Below are upcoming events scheduled at the Incline Village Library, located at 845 Alder Avenue.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library is closed Sunday and Monday.
Display cases: The photographic and textile work of Annie Mac Horton called “The Keepers” will be on display through February. Inspired by Johannes Vermeer she uses star, natural and studio light to capture her images. Annie Mac also designs and creates digital works along with a line of hoods and mittens to keep everyone warm while shooting the night sky.
D.I.Y. Valentine’s Day Creation Station, through Feb. 13: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bring your talent and imagination and make a gift for someone special. We will have a craft station set up with supplies and materials to create Valentine’s Day cards, gifts, bookmarks or anything you can imagine.
Thursday, Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26: 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. Toddler Story Time. Stories, puppets, music and movement for children 6 months to 3 years. Siblings welcome!
Friday, Fev, 6, 20: 2 to 4 p.m. Lifescapes. Writing program where Seniors are given an opportunity to write and share their memoirs. New members are always welcome. Lifescapes is a project sponsored by the Washoe County Library System, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), and the Department of English, University of Nevada, Reno.
Friday, Feb. 6: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Family Movie Night. “The Princess Bride.” Bring the family and enjoy this beloved classic fairy tale. Popcorn and water will be served. Pillows, blankets, and your own beverages are encouraged!
Saturday, Feb. 7: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Take Your Child to the Library Day. Help raise community awareness about the importance of the library in the life of a child while enjoying the vast library services and programs we offer for children and families. All children who come in will receive a free book.
Wednesday, Feb. 11: 4 to 4:45 p.m. Valentine’s Day Story Time. Celebrate the holiday dedicated to love with stories, treats and crafts.
Thursday, Feb. 12: 4 to 5 p.m. Paws 2 Read. Reading program for children of all ages proudly presented by Paws 4 Love. Friendly dogs lend a loving, non-judgmental ear to beginning readers. After reading to a gentle dog, children receive a free book.
