Village Notes: What’s happening in Incline Village
June 26, 2013
Thank goodness the sunshine is back. This weekend looks like our beach will be packed as everyone from the desert will make a trip up to the lake. Claim your beach spots early! Let's hope we do not have as many water rescues as we have had this past week, thank you to all of our water rescue teams.
Don't forget the annual Fur Ball is Saturday. If you forgot to buy tickets, call 775-832-4404 and see if you can still attend.
Red, White and Tahoe Blue begins on Wednesday, July 3. For a complete listing of events visit http://www.redwhitetahoeblue.org.
The Women's Club is hosting its annual fundraiser, The Fashion Show, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, in the Lakeside Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. The show, Fashions from A to Z, will feature fashions from Dillard's. Also the auction item is spectacular! Two round trip tickets from Los Angeles to La Paz, Mexico, and lodging at the small boutique Hotel Guaycura. We should have more information about this auction item next week so check back.
The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation 2013 Community Table will be on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Shakespeare Ranch in Glenbrook. Visit http://www.parsol.org for tickets. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold.
Another hole-in-one to report. Congratulations to Christopher Sullivan for the ace at the Mountain Course on June 21.
Happy Anniversary to Carl and Kristina Hill, Maggie and Brian Browder and Andrea and Cord Gitchell. Congratulations!
Birthdays to celebrate this week include Debbie Burgoyne and Millie Szerman on July 2. Happy Birthday!
The best deal or steal this week is to go to the auction of the "Bonanza" memorabilia from Chuck Greene's personal collection on Saturday. The branding iron is just one of the exciting items being auctioned. For information on the auction visit http://www.anchorauctions.com.
As always send in your birthdays, anniversaries, and news, along with the best deals to firstname.lastname@example.org.
