Donation to Bread & Broth by Vail Resorts CEO helps disadvantaged students

Bread & Broth 4 Kids received a $125,000 donation from Vail Resorts CEO Rob Katz and his wife Elana Amsterdam earlier this summer.

Bread & Broth 4 Kids received a $125,000 donation earlier this summer from Vail Resorts CEO Rob Katz and his wife Elana Amsterdam. The donation allowed the program to continue to provide disadvantaged students with food during the summer break.

For the past two years, the B&B 4 Kids program has been providing Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) kindergarten through eighth-grade students who struggle with hunger, seven meals and four snacks every week throughout the school year.

To date, the Summer B&B 4 Kids Program has given away healthful meals to over 700 South Lake Tahoe children. This past weekend, one Bay Area family volunteered with B&B during their vacation.

Norman Harris, Marlene Common, and Zachary Common along with friend Devin Smith spent time preparing the meals at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
