October 6, 2013
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif., — Rev. Madalyn Wade, a trained SoulCollage Facilitator, is coming to Tahoe City on Saturday, Oct.19 to facilitate a workshop in SoulCollage.
Images speak to people in different ways than words, awakening our intuition, imagination and inner wisdom. Explore the power of SoulCollage and create your own personal SoulCollage deck of cards through meditation, creativity and revealing the unconscious. Learn how your cards can assist you in healing, and manifesting your deepest desires.
This workshop is not about being an artist. It is about is about self-discovery, while having fun in a creative process.
WHAT IS SOULCOLLAGE?
SoulCollage is a creative and satisfying collage process. You make your own deck of cards — each collage card representing one aspect of your personality or soul. Use the collage cards intuitively to answer life’s questions and participate in self-discovery. Joyfully deepen your understanding of the relationships between your personality parts, you and your family/community/world, and you and your dreams, symbols, and Spirit. The book, SoulCollage Evolving, tells how to make and use the SoulCollage cards individually and in groups.
You may register for this workshop by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 530-581-5117. Early Bird (until Oct. 13) registration with a $20 non-refundable deposit is $65 including materials. Regular registration is $75 (includes materials.) Space is limited to 12, so sign up early.
Be inspired in an atmosphere of energy, camaraderie and loving support. Please take your journal, your sack lunch, and any magazines you would like to use and donate to the class.
ABOUT SEENA FROST
Seena Frost began the SoulCollage process in the late 1980s. Its seeds lay in her final project for a three-year “Human Capacities” program led by Jean Houston from 1987 to 1989.
“It was a time when I was immersed in world myths and archetypal psychology, and also I was exploring various spiritual paths,” said Frost. “I was also practicing psychotherapy in my professional practice. The card-making process evolved over time with the aid of many women in my therapy groups. As they made their powerful, personal cards, shared them with each other and consulted them, we discovered the transforming possibilities of these images.”
In those on-going therapy groups, and over several years, Seena, along with her therapy clients, developed the structures of the four suits, the personal collaged cards, and the style of doing intuitive readings. The work of C.J. Jung, James Hillman, Roberto Assigioli, and others formed the psychological and spiritual underpinnings.
The facilitator, Rev. Madalyn, is a California native from Thousand Oaks and later the San Francisco Bay Area. She has her bachelor’s in history from University of California, Santa Barbara and also earned a master’s from Pepperdine University.
After years in the corporate world as a human resources director and consultant she became a licensed prayer practitioner in 1996 and then went on to earn her ministerial license in 2006. Rev. Madalyn has served on the Board of Directors with Religious Science International and was also on the Integration Team with the Centers for Spiritual Living.
Rev. Madalyn teaches many leadership and Science of Mind classes as the assistant minister at the Center for Spiritual Living in Grass Valley, and she recently become certified as a SoulCollage facilitator.
