Fresno man killed after falling from Lake Tahoe casino

STATELINE, Nev. — A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead Sunday after falling from the upper levels of a parking structure at Harveys Lake Tahoe.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a man with a traumatic injury located near the casino in Stateline, on Tahoe’s South Shore, at 3 a.m. Sunday. When paramedics arrived, the man was unresponsive and not breathing. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Upon investigation, the man was identified as David Garcia of Fresno, Calif. Witnesses told police that Garcia had been drinking alcohol over the course of the evening and left the casino on foot around 2:20 a.m.



Official said that the fall appears to have been accidental.
