Sierra Sotheby’s at Tahoe hosting clothing drive

Special to the Bonanza

Sierra Sotheby's International Realty is calling upon community members and businesses to participate in a clothing drive for Reno-Sparks' Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet through Dec. 31.

This week kicks off the clothing drive, as the company's food drive for Project MANA comes to a close.

Sierra Sotheby's would like to acknowledge the Project MANA donations made by agents, staff and community members. The food drive produced about 300 pounds in food donations and more than $300 in monetary donations.

"It's what it's all about this time of year. It's better to give than to receive," food drive donators Ronn and Denise Lozner of Incline Village said.

The Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet helps more than 28,000 people annually, and the organization is in constant need for clothing, funding and other invaluable donations its budget can't accommodate.

"Donations can be anything from clothing, toiletries, and financial contributions to a modern, integrated web redesign and social media management to help broaden our reach to our community," Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet Secretary/President Elect Kim Thomson said. "Some assistance with social media management would greatly increase our visibility in the community."
