TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Tahoe City Chiropractic announces chiropractic intern Annette Rivas has joined the practice.
Annette graduated from Life Chiropractic College West (LCCW) in Hayward, Calif. She specializes in analyzing the nervous system and restoring natural function and relieving pain through specialized chiropractic techniques.
Annette uses a quick yet very gentle and specific adjustment that helps to allow the body to heal itself.
“As chiropractors we believe that the body has an inherent healing capacity and when things go wrong there is simply an interference with the innate healing potential. Our training focuses on techniques that allow the body to heal itself by removing that interference,” said Rivas. “I will be providing the latest procedures and the highest quality of care through state of the art chiropractic equipment and the personalized service that Dr. Schroeder has been offering at Tahoe City Chiropractic for the past 25 years.”
She enjoys working with those with an active lifestyle and rehabilitating sports injuries. She is very passionate about her work and is looking forward to serving the North Tahoe community.
Educational requirements for doctors of chiropractic are among the most stringent of any of the health care professions.
The typical applicant at a chiropractic college has already acquired nearly four years of pre-medical undergraduate college education, including courses in biology, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, psychology and related lab work.
Once accepted into an accredited chiropractic college, the requirements become even more demanding — four to five academic years of professional study are the standard. Because of the hands-on nature of chiropractic and the intricate adjusting techniques, a significant portion of time is spent in clinical training.
The clinical internship program Annette is undertaking at Tahoe City Chiropractic is the final phase of study and allows her to build her practice while continuing to take her State and National Boards.
Dr. Tim Schroeder has practiced in Tahoe City for many years and helped thousands of individuals regain their health. “I am very pleased that Life College of Chiropractic West has accepted me as an Extension Faculty Member,” said Schroeder. “That places our practice in the distinguished position of being a Satellite Clinic of the college with all of the rights and benefits associated with academia.” Tahoe City Chiropractic is a place where people can go to choose a natural approach to pain relief and health care.
The multispecialty staff works together in independent healing arts offering pain relief and optimum function.
Health care at Tahoe City Chiropractic is caring, efficient, and cost effective. The staff at Tahoe City Chiropractic believes that education regarding natural health care is important in order to allow a person the best chance for recovery and health stability.
