Charlotte Ella Piechocinski

Charlotte Ella Piechocinski was born June 29, 1924 in Glendale, CA. She was the cherished only child to Glenn And Ruth Young. Growing up in Burbank, CA she was an avid sports fan and athlete. She was a pitcher in a men’s fast pitch softball league, and later on in life she was an All State bowler carrying an average of 184. She was a lover of all sports, but boy did She love her Miami Dolphins! During World War II she worked building airplanes at Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank – a real life Rosie the Riveter! Charlotte raised her 3 loving children in Southern CA, enjoying family life to its fullest. She worked at Cal State Northridge before retiring and following her family to Lake Tahoe in the late 80’s. As a long time resident of the North Shore, she was known to many as Mom P.~ Sharing her love of animals and Passion of cooking and baking with everyone in her life, it was her true joy. Anyone who knew her, knows her carrot cake was the equivalent to pure gold which consequently matched her heart. Charlotte, mom, Grandma, GG.. All of her roles in which she took so much pride, our matriarch, lived a long amazing life always surrounded by the ones she loved. She passed peacefully on December 25th, at the age of 91 with her children by her side. Charlotte will be missed by so many and will stay forever young, for her legacy will continue on through her family. She is survived by her son Skip and his wife Michele of Carnelian Bay, daughter Carol and her dogs Pete and Jack of Kings Beach, son Scott and his wife Michelle of Winston-Salem, NC. Grandchildren ~ Jessica of Carnelian Bay, Cameron of Charlotte, NC and Sofia of Winston-Salem, NC. Great grandchildren ~ Shae of Charlotte, NC and Ashlyn of Carnelian Bay, and of course her beloved dog Peanut. There will be a celebration of Charlotte’s life for all those who loved her on the North Shore during the 3rd week of June.
